Srinagar: After launching a massive manhunt to nab the residents of Palhallan who allegedly resort to stone-pelting in the area, Police on Monday said that it has released all the youth who were arrested on Monday.

“Those arrested on Monday have been released,” Sources told Kashmir Life.

They said that they were released at around 10 PM on Monday. Most of the released youth are now busy in their daily routine.

Pertinently, Police on Monday launched a manhunt to nab youth who the police claimed were involved in disrupting the anti-militancy operations in the area. However, those arrested prior to Monday in the aftermath of “disrupted” operation are still languishing in police lock-ups.

After days of clashes in the restive town of Palhallan in Baramulla, a sense of calm is prevailing today (Tuesday).

Traffic is running smoothly on Srinagar- Muzaffarabad highway. Shops and other commercial establishments are also open.

Meanwhile, locals of Palhallan said that if such a manhunt is repeated again, they will hit roads.
