Srinagar:
In the encounter that raged in Chadoora village of Budgam district as three civilians died after being hit by bullets in clashes between civilian protesters and forces, videos from the scene reveal army firing live ammunition directly at the protesters who were pelting stones.
As the protesters clashed with the forces near the encounter site pelting stones, the army besides firing teargas shell were seen aiming AK-47’s directly and pulling the trigger.
The army men were seen showering indiscriminate fire while chasing the protesters, a video carried by a news outlet reveals.
In the clashes already three civilians have succumbed due to the bullet injuries and a number of others are injured.
“The forces were firing directly towards the civilians who were pelting stones,” said a photographer who was at the scene. “In today’s encounter there was no stray bullet,” he said.
Meanwhile, the encounter has ended with the killing of one militant and one army men injured.
