On the occasion of January 26 activities, the State Government Sunday announced names for grant of State Awards in various fields.
Prominent Kashmiri writer, Prof. Shafi Shauq, has been accorded State Award for achievement in the field of literature while as Playwright Moti Lal Kemmu, has been accorded State Award for performing Arts.
Tsering Wangdus, Painter has been awarded for excellence in Arts and Crafts.
Arun Kumar Mehta, Principal Secretary Power Development Department and M. H. Malik, Deputy Commissioner, Poonch have been accorded State Award for meritorious public service.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, Santoor Player has been accorded State life time achievement award.
Palak Kour Bijral, Gymnast and Ishfaq Ahmad, Football Player have been accorded State Award for outstanding Sports person.
