A complete shutdown is being observed in southern parts of Kashmir.

Reports said that the death of two Lashkar-e-Toiba militants who were killed in a gunfight in Hassanpora village of Arwani in Bijbehara area of Islamabad district has sent the whole area into mourning.

Shops, commercial establishments are closed in Qaimoh area of Kulgam and Vesu village of Qazigund – respective native areas of Majid Zargar and Rahil Amin.

No transport is plying on inter-district routes in the twin districts of Kulgam and Islamabad, despite the relaxation called by the joint resistance leadership.

Shutdown is being observed in Bijbehara, Arwani, Zainapora and Shopian areas also.
