SRINAGAR: Markets and other business establishments remained shut in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district against the arrest of a youth in nocturnal raid by forces.

Reports from Pulwama said that, there is no vehicular movement on roads and main markets give a deserted look.

According to the locals, forces raided house of Bilal Ahmad of Washbug Pulwama and arrested him last night.

Clashes were also reported from certain areas after youth pelted stones on forces and in retaliation forces fired teargas shells.

However, DC Pulwama, Muneer Ul Islam, termed the situation as normal and said “I am in office and everything is fine.”
