PULWAMA

A young lady aged 22 was Sunday killed when she was allegedly hit by a tear gas shell in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Reports and local witnesses said that the girl has been identified as Shaista Hamid. She was was a PG student.

Protests erupted in Lelhaar and Kakpora area when one militant was killed in an encounter with forces in the area.

The locals said that Shaista was hit by tear gas shell and was rushed to Pulwama hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

Reports said that scores of other youth were also injured in the clashes.

When contacted JKP said that they have no officials reports, yet.

Earlier, a young boy was killed when army allegedly opened fire on cricket playing youth.
