Jammu and Kashmir Government on Saturday said that the Kashmiri Migrants Pandit families are getting a relief of Rs 2500 per month while Rs 321.948 Crore has been given as cash to them since March 2016 to April 2016.

In a written reply to Independent legislator, Er Rasheed, the Relief and Rehabilitation Minister said that in addition to Rs 2500 a month, the families are being given 9 KGs rice, 2 KGs atta and 1 KG Sugar per month, per person.

Further, the reply said, Rs 18. 76 Crore has been spent on ration and grains.

“Two families have returned to their native places,” the minister said, “Rs 12.50 lakh have been provided for construction of houses.”

The government has approved 6000 jobs for the unemployed Kashmiri Migrants.
