Two persons among Kashmiris have suffered injuries while rest are safe in earthquake hit Nepal, police spokesman said in a statement.

According to police spokesman, there has been no casualty of Kashmiris reported so far due to earthquake in Nepal. “All the Kashmiri shopkeepers and tourists in Kathmandu are safe; however 02 persons namely Omar and Sajad have suffered injuries. Both are under treatment at Teaching Hospital Kathmandu and out of danger,” spokesman said.

Spokesman further adds that Police Control Room Kashmir is in constant touch with the MEA control Room Delhi and Control Room Kathmandu. “Also PCR is in contact with the people from Kashmir presently living in Kathmandu. Government of India has made elaborate arrangements to evacuate the stranded persons,” he added.

Further all the stranded persons have been asked to contact Wing Commander Ravi Sharma (Phone no. 009779818700724) at Kathmandu airport for evacuation.
