Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Sunday claimed that separatist lobbies are very active in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and these lobbies are at war against each other. The party said that that there are JKLF and Hizb lobbies active in the party (PDP).

“JKLF chief Yasin Malik’s recent revelation that for coming elections maximum seats have been given to JKLF sympathizers by PDP, the war and divide between Hizb lobby and JKLF lobby in the party (PDP) has increased,” a party statement said on Sunday.

Pertinently, JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a press statement recently had said, “People joining PDP used Kashmir resistance movement as launching pads for their political interests”. Naming Dr Haseeb Drabu and Prof Sidiq Wahid, Malik had claimed that both were JKLF sympathizers at one point of time. Malik had named many more unionist leaders and activists including former Hizb-Ul-Mujahedin Commander Rouf Ahmad.

The BJP statement further said, “This has resulted into intensification of anti-democratic campaign by both the organizations and also exposed real character of PDP.”

The right wing party maintained that in order to garner votes, NC and Congress have also started dividing people on regional lines. “Both the parties are exploiting the sentiments of the people of Jammu and Kashmir against Katra rail line and senior Congress leader, Taj Mohi-Ud-Din is exploiting people of Kashmir by telling them that entire power of Uri has been looted by NHPC.”

“It is being highlighted in media that Jammu got twelve backward area statuses while as Kashmir got only four,” the statement said ridiculing Congress and NC saying that both the parties are themselves ruling the state and they have to ensure equal development and equal concessions to all the regions.
