Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir Friday vehemently condemned the “Indian forces brute action” in which one innocent youth Arif Ahmad Shah of Gund-Baba Sangam got killed and scores others injured.

In a statement issued here, a JeI spokesperson said, “The forces personnel fired indiscriminately upon the peaceful protestors without any legal or moral justification thereby causing irreparable damage to the person who ultimately died.”

Jama’at expressed solidarity with the bereaved family besides praying for speedy recovery of the injured.

Meanwhile, Jama’at expressed profound grief and sorrow over the death of Khursheed Ahmad Bhat father-in-law of Javed Azar (executive editor of Kashmir Uzma) and prayed for his eternal peace.
