For second consecutive day on Tuesday, students are holding protests in North Kashmir demanding resolution of Kashmir dispute. The students reportedly said that they won’t appear in examination until the vexed issue is resolved.

Reports reaching here said that scores of students today held a protest rally in Ajas Eidgah in Bandipora district to protest against what they called government’s “ill-conceived policies”. The students who participated in the protest demonstration study in tenth and twelfth standards.

Holding placards, the students marched from Jamia Masjid Ajas to Eidgah saying that they won’t appear in the examinations unless Kashmir issue was resolved.

The government recently announced that the examination will be held in November this year given the prevailing situation in Kashmir.

“We have decided to boycott the exams, come what may as government is using us as a shield to show the world that nothing is wrong in the valley,” local sources said quoting the students said. “Kashmir is political issue and it should be addressed politically.”

“Government should first stop killing, blinding and maiming innocent Kashmiri children and then they should talk about exams,” they said.

Notably, on Monday, students held a similar protest rally in Bandipora town with students saying that they were ready to sacrifice their career for resolution of Kashmir issue.

The students carrying placards with ‘justice for Insha’, ‘save children first’, ‘ready to sacrifice our future’ “warned” the government to stop “victimizing” them politically. “We won’t apply in any examination unless Kashmir is not resolved,” they said.
