J&K Government has further relaxed curfew in Chenab Valley’s Kishtwar district on Tuesday.

Curfew was imposed on Sunday after clashes and protests erupted against nocturnal raids and arrests.

Curfew continued on third day today, however, government gave relaxed it two hours yesterday, and for four hours today.

“Given the stable situation,” an official said, “the relaxation in curfew has been extended for two more hours now.”

At least four persons were arrested of whom two were booked under PSA. They were charged under sedition for alleged anti-India activities. Protests and subsequent clashes erupted in Kishtwar when police, SSB and CRPF raided several areas during last three consecutive nights.
