External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday addressed the United Nation General Assembly, speaking on several issues and focusing on terrorism.

Swaraj said that terrorism is the biggest violation of human rights.

She said, “there are some countries that give shelter to terrorism.”

Following are her important quotes:

It’s important to ask- who is behind this and who benefits from it? Terrorists don’t own banks or weapons factories, so let us ask the real question: who is that finances these terrorists, who arms them and provides sanctuaries?

Kashmir is an integral part of India and Pakistan must stop dreaming of taking it away from us.

We have always taken step towards friendship…but what have we got Pathankot, Uri.

What conditions is Pakistan talking about…our prime minister went to Lahore to wish Nawaz Sharif on his birthday…it was not on any condition.

We need to identify who gives shelter to the terrorists? How are they able to carry out such activities? We need to uproot terrorism.

We all have to come together to fight the scourge of terrorism, if some country is not willing then it must be isolated.

Terrorism is the biggest violation of human rights.

India has decided to ratify Paris climate deal on October 2.

Sanitation is also a big issue, and we have started ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’ under which 4 lakh toilets are built in 2 lakh schools.

Today the biggest challenge all of us face is the poverty prevalent in all corners of the world.
