Conglomerate of militant outfits United Jihad Council (UJC) Friday said that it would have been in the interest of people of Jammu and Kashmir “if Pakistan would snap” diplomatic and economic ties with ties.

“It is really painful for people of Kashmir that Pakistan will welcome Indian Home Minister (responsible for mass killings in Kashmir) who is scheduled to visit the country on 3 August. Instead of welcoming him, Pakistan should have snapped all the ties with India and this would have helped the people of Kashmir and Kashmir Cause. Welcoming Home Minister of India will have negative impact on the on-going freedom struggle in Kashmir. His visit will only rub salt into wounds of Kashmiri people,” this was stated by UJC chief Syed Salahuddin while addressing a high level Unified Command meeting.

Syed Salahuddin said, “India has availed the services of scores of anti-Kashmir agents to sabotage the on-going movement in Kashmir. The agencies will throw money to buy the people’s sentiments but we have to defeat their plans and carry on the mission of our martyrs,” He appealed people to beware of “Indian tactics”.

“The sacrifices of Burhan Wani have united the whole nation and now it is our responsibility to take this struggle to logical conclusion. Time has come that we socially boycott all those pro-India elements who shed crocodile tears and depict phony sympathies with the families of the martyrs,” he said.

During the meeting tributes were paid to the “martyrs of Kashmir” and it was reiterated that the on-going “freedom struggle will continue with full vigour”.
