Several persons were injured when forces used force against unarmed civilians in North Kashmir South Kashmir on Friday.

Reports reaching from Kupwara said that three teenage boys were wounded when forces opened fire to disperse protesters at Gushi village.

They were identified as Irshad Ahmed Bhat, 18, Faisal Nazir, 16, and Nana, 15.

A news report said that all the three are stable.

Meanwhile, at least four persons were injured in Imam Sahib Shopian when SOG lobbed tear gas canisters on unarmed protestors.

Local sources said that people took out a peaceful march as soon as the congregational Friday prayers culminated.

“But forces, SOG, fire tear gas shells in which four youths were injured,” a local said. One youth was hit in abdomen, another one in forehead and third youth was hit on his back.

The clashes are still going on, the locals said.

Meanwhile, a news report said that hundreds of protesters on Friday attacked an army camp situated at Chodergund, Shopian stationing 62 RR.

Army personnel used aerial firing to disperse the attackers, however, there were no casualties.

The report said that protesters set ablaze a building belonged to Sheep department (Locally known as Sheep office) near Shirmal, in Shopian.

Protesters also attacked police station Keller in the same district. Police used tear smoke shells and aerial firing to disperse the protesters. Violent clashes also erupted in Alyalpora area Shopian.
