Vikramaditya Singh with Pellet Hit in AIIMS

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) MLC, Vikramaditya Singh, on Wednesday visited AIIMS in Delhi where five young boys from Kashmir Valley are admitted.

They are undergoing treatment for pellet injuries when forces fired pellets on unarmed protestors since July 09, 2016.

“He inquired from the attendants/relatives and the nursing staff about the care being provided by the hospital,” a statement issued by the MLC said this evening.

“They assured that all medical expense and food was being provided free of cost to the patients and their attendants. Upon further discussion, the relatives of the young boys had two demands that they put forward to Vikramaditya. They wanted assurance that the boys will not be discharged until full treatment is completed, in case of some, eye transplant may also be required,” the statement said.

“They also asserted to the MLC that the J&K Government must come up with a special rehabilitation plan for young men and women who have been disabled in the recent clashes.”
