In their effort to donate something to help save precious lives, they got in touch with The Varmul Post-a news point from Baramulla- and donated blood.

After completing all the formalities, BMO sub-district hospital Dr Sami Ahmad inaugurated the blood donation camp on Tuesday morning.

He applauded the local youth and The Varmul Post team for the initiative in such testing times.

“It is an excellent effort and we need more such camps in the future. Blood shortage is a chronic issue here at the hospital and it has been aggravated by the recent spate of injuries,” Dr Sami said, “I thank the volunteers who came forward and commend team The Varmul Post for helping us organise the camp.”

Dr Hameed Khan, a general physician, visited the camp and hailed the efforts of the conscious youth.

In-charge Blood Bank SDH Sopore GM Dar while applauding the local youth said that 13 pints of blood were received from the donors.
