Deputy Commissioner, Islamabad, Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah today chaired a meeting of officers of Education and Public Works Departments.
He called upon the Chief Education Officer to open schools in the areas where the situation has been normalized so that the future of the students is not compromised, an official spokesperson said early this evening.
While chairing the meeting of Public Works Department, he directed the SE, R&B to start the work on the projects already approved in the District Board Meeting so that the developmental side does not suffer on this account.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner visited different government offices including District Hospital, Municipal Committee Office and different Bank branches in order to check the working of these offices.
While visiting the District Hospital, the DC interacted with the patients and directed the Medical Superintendent to ensure that all requisite facilities and adequate stock of medicines are kept available to the patients.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the government employees to attend the duties to mitigate the sufferings of the people.
