J&K Police on Tuesday evening issued a statement about reported incidents of ransacking and beating up of people in twin villages of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district early today.

Apropos to a news item updated by some news portals that forces damaged private vehicles, entered, residential houses damaging their window panes and doors in Kuensoo and Ashtango, Bandipora.

In this regard district police authorities Bandipora have informed that they received information that some miscreants had blocked the road in the area.

Acting on this information a police team was sent to the area make the road through.

Some miscreants pelted stones on the party.

However, the miscreants were later on chased away and road was made through.

They further informed that no damages were done to vehicles or property. The news is as such refuted.
