The family of the youth whose bullet-riddled dead body was found early Friday morning in Arwani Kulgam said that he was ‘kidnapped’ by some unknown gunmen just outside his home four days ago.

The youth identified as Shamim Ahmad Patloo, s/o Abdul Aziz Patloo, r/o Arwani Bijbehara was found dead, with bullet wound on neck, early this morning in Kujjar village of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

“On the evening of 17th October 2016, some Pheran laden gunmen asked Shamim to get into their car they were travelling in,” said one of his family members.

The family was since then looking for him and had filed a missing complaint on Thursday in Bijbehara police station.

Police have taken cognizance of the matter and the matter is being investigated, said a police official.
