J&K Police on Thursday said that two persons involved in damaging JK bank articles at Natipora in Srinagar yesterday were arrested.

“As reported earlier miscreants entered into J&K Bank Branch Badshah Nagar, Natipora and damaged CCTV screen, LED, glass panes and other articles in the bank. A case FIR number 182/2016 under section 336, 427, 452 was registered in this regard and investigation was taken up,” police spokesperson said this evening.

“During the investigation, miscreants involved in this incident were identified among them two  identified as Imran Mir, son of Haji Mohammad Mir, resident of Ganderbal at present Badshah Nagar Chanapora and Shafat Ashiq Najar, son of Ashiq Hussain, a resident of Iram lane, Chanapora have been arrested  and the manhunt continues to nab other involved people,” the spokesperson added.

One Dies Another Injured in Two Different Road Mishaps

One person died while another was injured in two separate road accidents in Islamabad and Srinagar, police said.

A Truck bearing registration number PB11BR- 8847 and an  I-10 car bearing registration numberJK03D-9138 collided at Semthan Sangam, Islamabad resulting in on spot death of I-10 Car driver identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Ganie, son-in-Law of Ghulam Mohiddin, resident of Sirhama.

Meanwhile, an Auto Rickshaw hit and injured a pedestrian identified as Mastoor Ahmad Malik, resident of Astanpora Gool, Ramban at Nowgam near HDFC Bank, Srinagar.

The injured was shifted to SMHS Hospital for treatment.
