Srinagar:
Clashes between protesters and forces erupted in Khudwani area of Kulgam district after army cordoned off a particular area, police said on Thursday.
As the forces laid siege in Khudwani, scores of people started raising pro-freedom slogans and pelting stones on them.
Police sources said that siege was laid after input about the presence of militants however no contact was established with the militants so far.
Reports said that heavy clashes were going on in the area.
