As soon as Friday prayers were culminated, protests between youth and government forces were reported from various places in Kashmir.
An eye witness from Sopore informed Kashmir Life over phone, that soon after congregational prayers, scores of youth came out on roads and started shouting pro freedom slogans and tried to march from historic Jamia Masjid to main Chowk Sopore.
However, men in uniform deployed in huge numbers swung into action and used PAVA and tear gas shells to disperse the protesters.
Meanwhile, people of the Dadwun pora of district Budgam also held a protest after congregational prayers, while moving towards the house of the slain Amir Manzoor Resray, a civilian who was killed by the government forces on April 09 when Kashmir was going under polls for the Lok Sabha seat of Srinagar constituency.
Clashes also erupted from Natipora near old RTO in Srinagar. Intense clashes were going on when reports last came in.
