Dissatisfied over the response from PDP-BJP government response to his question, Langate lawmaker, Er Sheikh Rasheed staged walk out from the lower house on day fourth of the current budget session.

Rasheed had asked government whether it was consulting Hurriyat Conference over the issue of return of those persons from Keran, Karnah and Uri who crossed Line of Control to other side of Kashmir in 1900s.

The J&K Government didn’t answer, however, Rasheed didn’t relent forcing J&K Government spokesperson, Naeem Akhtar, to answer.

“I talked about the return of Kashmir Pandits in my recent presser when situation was being created alik-2008 (uprising) over return of KPs,” Akhtar told the house, “I said because Kashmir has a tradition of composite and communal harmony culture and has been following it for centuries, so I had said that our government and Separatists are on same page viz-a-viz KP return.”

However, Rasheed ridiculed government for “following dual policy” viz-a-viz Muslims of J&K. “You are following right wing RSS ideology,” he addressed treasury benches and walked out of the house.
