In its drive against the drug abuse, Kulgam police has arrested two people and recovered prescription drugs from their possession, a police statement said this evening.
On a tip off Kulgam police apprehended two people identified as Reyaz Ahmad Malik son of Abdul Aziz resident of Peth Dialgam Anantnag and Reyaz Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of Bona Dialgam at village Akhran, in the jurisdiction of Police Post Mirbazar. On their checking police recovered 85 bottles of Codeine Phosphate.
A case was registered against them and further investigation is going on.
