SRINAGAR:  Dead bodies of missing mother-daughter of Nambal village of south kashmir’s Islamabad, who went missing on February 7, were today recovered from Semthan.

The duo went missing from their home 18 days ago, as per family sources, after the lady had some arguments with her husband.

“The 28-year-old lady and her two-year-old daughter were found in Jhelum at Semthan Islamabad,” PCR Islamabad confirmed to Kashmir Life.

Earlier on, February 9, police claimed in a press statement that both were recovered, but the claim was soon refuted by district police and was called as a mistake. This was in response to the family staking claim over the recovered  mother-daughter. This led the police to retract the statement.

The dead bodies have been shifted to District Hospital Islamabad for autopsy, police sources confirmed.
