At least 14 women were injured Thursday in Srinagar when police used batons to disperse the women protesting against the water scarcity near Naaz Crossing.

Following police action against women, Maharaja Bazar and Sarai Bala markets in the city center went on a shutdown.

Witnesses told Kashmir Life that police used batons to disperse the protesting women, who had blocked the main road in the area.
