Dozens of men and women took to streets in Zainadar Mohalla of down town area to protest against water scarcity.
The protesters blocked the Taingpora road by staging sit in which caused traffic jam in the area.
However, the police officials assured the protesters that their demand will be passed on to the relevant quarters after which they dispersed peacefully.
Reports said that people of not only the city but of rural areas too face water scarcity and they allege the concerned department of un-concernedness.
Many rural areas also complaint power scarcity as well saying that they face very badly in the fast.
