Army on Monday paid tributes to 3 army mean who were killed in a gunfight in Nowgam sector in northern part of Kashmir’s Kupwara district in northern part of Kashmir.

Four militants were also killed in the operation that lasted for over two days along the Line of Control, said a spokesman.

“Joined by top officials from Civil Administration and other Security Forces operating in the Valley, the Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen JS Sandhu paid rich tributes to Havaldar Giris Gurung, Havaldar Damar Bahadur Pun and Rifleman Rabin Sharma in a solemn ceremony in BB Cantt, Srinagar,” he said.

The three soldiers, aged 40, 38 and 23, hailed from Nepal.
