Police in its drive against the traffic violations have seized over twenty three hundred vehicles and Challaned about twenty four hundred vehicles in last five days across Kashmir.
On July 2nd 766 vehicles were seized and 153 were challaned while on July 3rd 328 vehicles were seized and 275 were challaned. On July 4th 487 vehicles were seized and 584 were challaned and on 5th of July 503 vehicles were seized and 818 were challaned. On Sunday 240 vehicles were seized and 544 were challaned. In these five days, about twenty thousand vehicles were checked across Kashmir, a police statement said Monday evening.
The action has been initiated against the violators under various heads of offences including; driving without licence, triple ride, over speeding, overloading, not using seat belts and not wearing the crash helmets. The drive against violators will continue in future also.
