Militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad Wednesday claimed the responsibility of Tangdhar attack saying three militants from the outfit stormed into the Army week shortly after Fajar prayers.

A spokesperson from the outfit Muhammad Hasan Shah told Srinagar based news agency CNS that militants managed to inflict heavy damage on the Indian forces.

Pertinently, a group of militants have taken position in Darshak forests adjacent to Kalsuri ridge where the fierce gunbattle is going on since 8:17 am today. Earlier reports said that an Army officer has died in the attack while two others including a civilian have received wounds.

Jaish spokesperson said that the three militants of the outfit has taken position in the Defence camp and have been targeting Indian troopers from right left centre.
