SRINAGAR

A few days after a walnut dealer from South Kashmir left home for Gujarat, the news of his death reached home last evening and triggered intense mourning.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday of Hugam-Srigufwara village in south Kashmir’s Islamabad had gone to Ahmadabad few days ago on a business trip.

Khandey’s family reportedly said their son “was murdered by some unidentified men in Gujarat’s capital”.

The news of his death was conveyed by police to the family who showed up at the slain’s residence on Monday evening.

While assuring a probe into the cause of Khanday’s death, the police official said that a police team along with the family members is flying to Ahmadabad Tuesday to get back the body of the slain.
