A six-member family had completed their Umrah and were on way to Madinah Munawarah from Makkah Muazamah when their car met an accident in Riyadh.

Three of the family died on spot while three were admitted in king Saud Hospital.

Close family sources had told Kashmir Life that Bashir Ahmad Mir (40), who worked as Manager HR in Saudi KAD based in Dammam, had flown his full family to Saudi Arabia.

The family were residents of Banpora Road Batamaloo, Srinagar.

Bashir, his father – Muhammad Sidiq Mir, his mother and two of his children were in the car.

A family friend said that Bashir, his father, and daughter died on the spot while his wife succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

“Bashir’s mother is battling for life while his son is recovering,” a friend of Bashir told Kashmir Life over phone from Saudi Arabia.

Bashir’s father and mother had flown to Saudi Arabia recently and the family was performing Umrah. His wife and two children were living with him in the kingdom for many years now.
