J&K Sainik School Manasbal Tuesday celebrated the annual athletic day at its campus in picturesque Manasbal area.
Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Showkat Aijaz Bhat was the chief guest in the event which was sponsored by J&K Bank.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal said the students have pivotal role in development and nation building activities. He urged students to work hard in studies to better compete at the national and international level. He described physical development as an important tool in the overall development.
The Principal of the School Sheikh Gayas-u-din in his presidential address highlighted the achievements of the institute.
During the function, the students of the institution presented colourful programmes.
Among others the function was attended by Cluster head J&K Bank Shafqat and other dignitaries.
The function concluded with a prize distribution ceremony.
