Jama’at-e-Islami (JeI) Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday paid tributes to the slain militants who were killed in a brief gunfight in Ashmuqam area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district.

A JeI statement said that a delegation of JeI leaders visited families of Adil Ahmad Sheikh, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat and Sartaj Ahmad Lone at Bijbehara and expressed solidarity on behalf of Jama’at with the bereaved families.

“These youth have given sacrifices for the movement and left a responsibility on us to continue this just cause without any sell out and exhaustion to its logical end. It is the sacrifices of our brave and daring youths who took Kashmir movement to international forums,” JeI leaders said, adding, “India is telling a lie and befooling world forums about Kashmir being its integral part and till India does not change its behaviour and pave a way for plebiscite, uncertainty will continue in Jammu and Kashmir.”

The statement said that JeI reiterated its stand on Kashmir issue and said its solution lies in the UN resolutions.
