Two persons died while nine others were injured in different road accidents across the valley, a police statement said on Friday.

A lady Shakeela wife of Rayees Ahmad Paddar resident of Mirhama who was injured when she was hit by a tractor near Suri Pombay, Kulgam on 07th December succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS Soura last evening, the statement said.

In another accident, a Van bearing registration number JK05C-8538 hit a truck at Shangergund Sopore, resulting in on spot death of Feroz Ahmad Ganie resident of Green Town Sopore and injuries to six other persons. All the injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment, it added.

Meanwhile, a Tata Safari bearing registration number JK22-6699 hit and injured Nazir Ahmad Mir resident of Bellow Pulwama near Shirmal. The injured has been shifted to Srinagar for treatment.

The statement further informed that a Tractor hit a pedestrian Taja Begum resident of Donipowa Anantnag, resulting in her injury. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Islamabad for treatment.

In another accident, a Scooty bearing registration number DL3-SAK-5243 hit and injured a pedestrian Ali Mohammad resident at Khun Haran, Ganderbal. The injured has been shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment, the statement concluded.
