Independent Langate lawmaker, Er Rasheed Friday expressed gratitude to the British parliament for raising its voice against depriving Kashmiris from right to self-determination and condemning “state terrorism” in J&K.

Appreciating the role of British parliament, Rasheed in a statement issued here this afternoon, said, “It is highly appreciable and it seems that if pain of pellets has not reached the hearts of MLA’s of J&K or Indian parliamentarians, at least British MP’s have felt the pain of Kashmiris.”

Amid heated arguments with BJP MLA’s Rasheed, said that those who were defaming Kashmiris over Zaira Waseem’s issue have got a befitting reply, as she has asked union minister Vijay Goyal not to give sermons to Muslim girls over Hijab and thus has exposed politicising of her social Networking Posts.

Rasheed also appealed the house to support Right to Self-Determination for durable peace in the subcontinent.

He also condemned government for victimising Director General ISM Dr Kabir and said that despite court intervention he is being humiliated for none of his fault.
