Home Minister Rajnath Singh Monday spoke to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed on phone over the Kashmir floods and assured full support from the Centre.

“Spoke to Jammu and Kashmir CM Shri Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today who apprised me of the flood situation in the state,” Tweeted Rajnath Singh.

He further wrote on the Microsoft blogging site, “The Centre has already rushed two teams of NDRF to flood affected areas of J&K. We will provide all possible assistance to the state.”

Meanwhile, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi arrived in Srinagar and held a meeting with state ministers over the situation in the state, official sources said.

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said in New Delhi that the Centre will do everything to support Kashmir. “Whatever is required in terms of co-ordination, material or financial support will be sent immediately,” Rijiju said.
