Following the call of Hurriyat (g) chairperson, Syed Ali Geelani’s call for protests against the continuous arrests of youth and separatist activists in valley, Hurriyat (g) activists Friday afternoon held protest in Lal Chowk.
Reports reaching her said that various Hurriyat (g) activists led by Muhammad Shafi Reshi tried to take out a rally in city centre before being whisked away by police.
Geelani had called for protests against what he said “undemocratic arrests in valley”.
Syd Imtiyaz Hyder and Gazi Javaid were detained at lodged at Kothibagh police Station.
