People’s Democratic Party (PDP) block president for Amira Kadal constituency was shot at by unidentified gunmen at his home on Wednesday evening.
He was shifted to SMHS hospital in critical condition where he is undergoing surgery.
The worker has been identified as Abdul Qayoom, a resident of old Barzulla, Srinagar.
As per family sources, an unidentified gunman barged into Qayoom’s house at around 8.15 pm and shot at him three bullets in his abdomen. “We have shifted him to SMHS hospital where he is undergoing surgery.”
Meanwhile, locals informed that SOG party has covered the area around Qayoom’s house in Old Barzulla and launched a massive manhunt.
