Opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) election rally was stoned by a group of angry protesters in the old city area of Srinagar on Monday.

Reports said that the attack took place when the PDP cavalcade was on an election road-show and was stoned in Darish Kadal locality of Srinagar’s Old City.

Darish Kadal falls in the Eidgah assembly segment.

When the vehicles of PDP rally reached the area, groups of protesters hurled stones at it, however no one was hurt.

Immediately police swung into action and chased away the stone pelters, local sources said.
