Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Saturday said that Peoples Democratic Party is following BJP’s agenda.

Reacting to the statement of PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti that her party would focus on issues related to development and unemployment, the BJP’s Kashmir spokesperson in a statement here said, “PDP has realized that it cannot take people for ride anymore by raising Kashmir issue. The centre government calling off talks with Pakistan and making it clear that centre would not make any compromise on Kashmir has left PDP issueless.”

He said that slogan of the development was first raised by the BJP and its leadership has made it clear that they want to address the issues which touch common man’s skin. “BJP has never believed in rhetoric. Our policy and agenda are clear. We don’t believe in hoodwinking people,” he said.

The spokesperson ridiculed the claim of the PDP Chief that BJP has emerged due to rout of National Conference and Congress in Lok Sabha polls. “BJP since independence has been a force to reckon with and people by giving clear majority to the party in the recently held Lok Sabha elections have reposed their full faith in the party leadership.”

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it clear again and again that development is the only way to end the miseries of people and we will “ensure” that his promise is implemented on the ground.
