Pakistan on Saturday said that it has priority to improve ties with its neighbours including India.

A news report published by Radio Pakistan today quoted Advisor on Foreign Affairs, Sartaj Aziz, as having said, “India is delaying to hold talks on one pretext or the other.”

“It is Pakistan’s priority to have improved relations with neighbours, including India,” Aziz said.

Sartaj Aziz said the two countries could not achieve their respective economic goals without coming to the dialogue table.

“The bilateral dialogue should have not been suspended after the Pathankot attack,” he added. “Such terrorist incidents should not be taken as excuse to suspend the dialogue process.”
