One person died while ten others were injured in a road accident in Uri in North Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.
Reports said that a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK05C-0452 met with an accident at Madaya area of Uri, resulting in on spot death of one person and injuries to ten persons.
SHO Uri, Gh Mohammad Rather identified the deceased persons as Fatima Begum w/o Zameer Hussain, r/o Pehlipora Uri.
The driver has been arrested and the injured were shifted to sub-district hospital Uri for treatment.
MLA Mohammad Shafi Uri expressed grief over the accident and sought relief from the government to the affected families.
