Dy Speaker Nazir Gurezi has revoked the suspension of Langate MLA Engineer Rasheed warning him to maintain discipline in the house.
Earlier, legislator Javaid Mustafa Mir advocated that his suspension should be revoked as it sets a wrong precedence.
“Wrong message will go out that the house wants to dump the issues of legislators,” Javaid said.
“He does not allow other members to speak and this violates the decorum of the house,” he said, “We have to give equal time to all.”
Meanwhile, seconding his words, MLA Banihal, Vikar Rasool Wani said, “He has staged the house hostage for last eight years.”
Earlier Rasheed was suspended form the house after he intermittently disrupted the proceedings of the house, seeking release of “juvenile” boy who is languishing in Kotbalwal jail.
Besides, he also sought immediate release of incarcerated Muslim League chairperson Masarat Alam and cleric Sarjan Barkati.
