Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Tuesday termed the allegations baseless that Nasir Aslam Wani and Davinder Singh Rana were the cause of ‘downfall’ of National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir

When CNS reporter asked Omar Abdullah how far the allegations leveled by certain NC leaders are true that Wani and Rana destroyed National Conference, Chief Minister said that neither NC has fallen weak nor it has lost support of common people. “Don’t you see ardent supporters around me, chanting slogans in favour of party. Out of 12 functions, I was able to address only 4 functions and this is proof of the popularity on my party,” Omar Abdullah retorted and added that NC will emerge as victorious in the elections.

Abdullah was talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function at town hall Kulgam.

Earlier, Omar Abdullah alleged that all the ‘corrupt’ officials who served in different departments of the state including Forest, Police, Bank, CAPD and others have joined People’s Democratic Party. “All these corrupt officials are now part of PDP and it simply shows that PDP has become the hub of corrupt leaders,” he said.
