Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain Ansari, who breathed his last Tuesday morning , is expected to be laid to rest at 5 pm at Zadibal in his ancestral graveyard.
For the smooth movement of funeral procession, the traffic police has made arrangements however, city routes are chocked as a large number of people are moving around Zadibal and Qamarwari.
The funeral procession will pass through Saikidafar, Eid gah near Aali Masjid, Hawal Chowk and Alamgari Bazar. “We have not closed the routes but for the smooth movement of the mourners we have to manage the traffic accordingly,” SP traffic (city) Haseeb-ur-Rehman told Kashmir Life over phone.
A large number of people are expected to take part in the funeral of prominent leader Ansari after participating in the Nimaz-e-Jinaza.
During the recent floods Ansari was rescued from his Qamarwari residence and shifted to Zadibal, where his daughter resides. As per family sources, the veretran leader was taken to his residence on Sunday where he brethed his last.
