A social activist from Loren in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir has been allegedly harassed by the son of MLA of the district.
Reports reaching GNS said that, a social activist Javed Reshi was allegedly harassed by the son of MLA Poonch, Shah Mohammad Tantary, after some argument over the maintenance of road in the area. Learning about the incident, MLA’s son Toyub Tantary publicly harassed the activist, reports added.
Javid Reshi approached police station Loren and has lodged a complaint against the MLA’s son.
SHO police station Loren, Sirajdin Chauhan, while talking to GNS said that initially we tried to pacify the parties to settle it amicably. Javed Reshi has disagreed to it, citing that if an activist is being manhandled, what a lay man can expect from them?
Meanwhile, no FIR has been yet lodged against the MLA’s son.
