A joint checking squad on the instructions of Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Saturday conducted market inspection in various areas of Srinagar city.
The team comprising officials of Legal Metrology, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Food Safety Standard Departments conducted the drive to book erring traders for violating various consumer protection and food safety standard laws.
During the drive two vegetable sellers, one baker and a restaurant was booked and penalized for violation of Food Safety and Standards Act.
