Many feared dead in Laden village of Chadoora area on Monday when two residential houses collapsed due to land sinking.

When contacted, the police spokesman informed Kashmir Life that rescue operation is going on, however, no body have been retrieved so far.

Locals said that at least 21 persons are missing in land sinking. They apprehended that most of them have been buried to death.

“We have sent rescue teams in the area who are busy in rescue operation,” police spokesman. “However our team hasn’t recovered any dead body or any injured yet.”

Pertinently, the continuous rains have triggered landslides across Kashmir.

“As per the information available to us, two house have collapsed in Budgam and with the result, 16 members have been buried,” Naeem Akhtar informed the JK Council. “We don’t know whether they are alive or not, but the rescue operation is going on.”

Meanwhile deputy CM informed JK Assembly on Monday that some persons have caught in land sinking incident in Chadoora, Budgam, adding the deputy commissioner along with a rescue team has been rushed to the spot.
